new NAS forums

its lookin like nasforum.net is dead or close to it cuz it doesn't get fixed regularly enough, so...

so far, 2 new forums have been started

http://nasnews.50.forumer.com/index.php

EDIT: on this second forum, he'll let the first few people who want to be mods get the job



i'm gonna keep this blog goin till one of those (or nasforum.net) gets rollin good

    Yea I mean any 2 people who want to be mods I would allow. I just said first 2 to get the ball rollin

    Im not trying to make it too elaborate. only thing i'd expect mods to do is remove anything inappopriate, which shouldnt be often. but the only way to get going is by registering and posting, ie: posting some of what u got over here on the forum. anyway to get some activity is positive, even if you dont want to be a moderator

    Im not saying delete this blog, but with the news you have on it, your really playing middle man preventing the growth of either forum by only staying here. What it comes down to is I think people prefer forum format over blog format, not taking away anything that you've posted

    by keeping this blog im "preventing the growth of either forum"? lol cool it bro, its not that serious. and im not tryna play favorites--so my choices are post news at both forums or just post it here (obviously the second choice is easier).

    also, a forum needs way more than nas news. if its gonna be popular at all u gotta have a variety of topics and personalities going on, and i can't help u with that.

    imo, if ur serious about gettin ur forum rollin u should go advertising and recruiting for it on other popular forums and blogs. and even go over to the excoboard and try to talk them into coming over where ur at

    @ Anonymous, I don't know who you were on nasforum.net but my own opinion is that your forum is going to flop. I'm not making the move over to your board as a permanent replacement of nasforum.net and of the people I know I don't think anyone of them plan on it either.

    I think people should use the excoboard forum as a temporary medium until we all know what's going to happen. Once it's clear we have a good thing to replace nasforum.net with we can all make the transition.

    I just don't see your forum thriving.

    these other forums just aren't the same...I was used to the look of Nasforum...the members...the ones who posted a lot & posted a little...the lurkers, all that...the other forums don't have that...and I'm not so sure that nasforum won't be back...I really don't understand the issue with the forum...myxss has the same design, so I'm assuming they are both the same type of board overseen by the same people...why only nasforum with the issues?

    I think you're confused. Mine is nothing more than a temporary medium for Nasforum, as I stated on it. Its not meant to be a full running hip hop forum, just a temporary location for when NF goes down. I just think mine's a little bit more clean cut as far as navigating and such than the excoboard

    Well if it's temporary I guess that's okay but we already have 3 temporary places. I just think it's too confusing with too many boards.

    and im on SOHH..so if nasforum goes down for good it aint really that big a deal to me seeing how I only went over for Nas news that may not have been posted over there, not exclusively for hip hop and other forums. but do yall even have any long term plans if the forum is shut down?
